It was a pleasure to have both of you with us. We wish you all the best for your future and please keep us updated. Thank you!

  • Sarah Mayr
Thesis Title: Virtual screening using a homology model of the outward occluded conformation of the creatine transporter
Sarah did a validation of an homology model (LeuT) of the creatine transporter (CreaT, SLC6A8) in the outward occluded conformation. She was working under the supervision of Claire Colas. Mutations of the creatine transporter can lead to less uptake of creatine in the brain, which can cause mental retardation or epilepsy.
  • Isabel Kreil
Thesis Title: Compound-pathway interaction fingerprints for prediction of developmental neurotoxicity
Isabel analyzed 85 substances with the help of ToxPHACTS to find potential targets. Furthermore she worked with their protein structure and used the information to develop structure-based or ligand-based pharmacophore models.
