Prof. Ecker's consultation hours are on Wednesdays from 14:00 to 15:00, either in Room 2E405 or online, but only after an appointment has been made via e-mail by the Friday before.
Retirement Announcement for Prof. Ecker
As I will be retiring in October 2028, I am no longer offering PhD, Postdoc or internship positions.
For Master's theses I accept applications with a starting date of October 2027 at the latest. Please send your CV, motivation letter and Bachelor's thesis to gerhard.f.ecker@univie.ac.at.
Vienna Summer School on Drug Design 2027
September 12-17, 2027
The Vienna Summer School on Drug Design focuses on students and professionals who have a clear interest in learning the basics as well as latest developments in Pharmacoinformatics. The program provides an overview on main approaches and techniques used in computational drug design, ranging from protein modeling, docking, pharmacophore based screening, up to machine learning and data science. During the afternoon sessions the participants will have the opportunity to obtain hands-on training via computational exercises.
