Coordinator external funds at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences


The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences is looking for a dedicated Third-Party Funding Officer for the administrative coordination of externally funded projects, preferably with relevant experience in general (university) administration.

The position is initially limited to 6 months; a permanent employment contract is possible and desirable.

The scope of duties and activities includes:

  • Coordination of third-party funding activities,
  • support of project leaders and staff in the administrative implementation of projects from start to finish;
  • independent and autonomous organization of administrative processes in the third-party funding area (budget and personnel agendas);
  • support of project staff in formalities related to personnel agendas (absence management such as vacation and business trips) and support of project leadership in the admission of new project staff;
  • interface between departments and internal university institutions (Dean's Office, Finance and Controlling, Human Resources) as well as non-university institutions (funding agencies and project partners) with regard to externally funded projects;
  • independent invoice processing and budget control as well as preparation of interim and final invoices for project funds;
  • general agendas of the department
