Children's University Vienna

10.07.2019

Alzbeta, Jennifer, Florentina and Stefanie gave a lecture to a young, very interested audience at Children's University Vienna today.

"How do computers help discover new medicines?"

Where and how do drugs work?

In this workshop children learned what a drug is and how computers help us to discover new medicines. Using the computer, we can look at the smallest building blocks of the cell, proteins, and examine how drugs activate or block these proteins.

Not only were the children fascinated but also you managed to present this topic in a fun way! Thanks again for all your inspiring work.
